Mission Statement

The California Rural Health Student Advocates is a policy-driven organization dedicated to advancing healthcare access and affordability for underserved and under-resourced communities across California. We engage directly in the legislative process—advocating at the state capital, supporting evidence-based policy reform, and providing testimony to ensure that rural and marginalized communities are meaningfully represented in decisions that shape healthcare delivery, workforce development, and medical education. Through advocacy, coalition-building, and student leadership, we work to influence policy at its source and drive measurable, system-level change.
